Something that I seem to do more in Singapore than in Hong Kong is try different cuisines! The great thing about living in either city is the huge variety of cuisines available and the many choices of eateries you can go to. But I noticed that I enjoy a wider variety of eating adventures here. :)
*UPDATE: Ottoman Kebab & Grill has closed in January 2020.
I’m not too picky an eater and usually enjoy a variety of cuisines or dishes that are new to me. One particular cuisine I’ve been enjoying in Singapore is Turkish cuisine! (Just a disclaimer: I am not a food blogger or expert, nor have I travelled to Turkey, so I can’t speak for the authenticity of the places I have tried!)
So far, in Singapore, I’ve been to three restaurants serving Turkish food and I’ve enjoyed them all, but wanted to share about Ottoman Kebab & Grill, because I liked the food and its reasonable pricing, enjoyed the decor and ambience of the place and bonus – the staff were friendly too!
According to their Facebook page, they offer Turkish favourites, and I’m pretty sure I ordered at least one of the favourites recommended by their staff. However, because I completely did not take note of any names of the dishes or the prices, please enjoy my casual snapshots and my happy note that I enjoyed every dish I tried hahaha. ;) (Here’s a link to their menu for reference though.)
Do you like Turkish food? And if you have any good recommendations, do pop them in the comments, I’d love to know!
