There I was, going on about spring in my last post and just like that, summer is here! I much prefer colder seasons, but here we go anyway. I finally got round to sorting these snapshots from almost two years ago, when I visited Shek O, a popular summer location in Hong Kong.
Shek O, known particularly for its beaches, is a beachside village located at the southern part of Hong Kong Island. Personally, I’m not a fan of beaches, not to mention such a crowded one, but I did enjoy wandering around Shek O and seeing another side of Hong Kong. :)
Something that really captured my attention was the colourful residential properties in the area! I love the pastel colours and I love the bold colours, I love them all!
If you’re a fan of the sun and sand, maybe Shek O could be a place to visit in Hong Kong. You’ll find me somewhere indoors, enjoying the air conditioning and an iced drink. :) What are your plans for this summer?
Getting to Shek O:
– Take the MTR to Shau Kei Wan station, take exit A3 to the bus terminus
– At the bus terminus, take bus 9 all the way to the end to Shek O beach (where I went to in this post OR you could also get off a few stops earlier to go to Big Wave Bay beach)
