kikki.K Hong Kong

28 September 2015 in HONG KONG, SHOP

Hello. :) It’s been a little quiet here on the blog lately because September has been crazy! With starting a new job and at the same time starting on my master’s, September has been a huge month of adjustment and newness, but amidst the non-stop movement of it all, it’s been a good month. Pretty crazy, but good!

Something very exciting did happen though (yes, in addition to the job and the studies) and that was receiving an invitation to attend the launch of kikki.K’s new store in Times Square, Causeway Bay!

*UPDATE: Please note that the Times Square branch of kikki.K Hong Kong has closed. kikki.K still operates 2 stores in Hong Kong, please refer to the end of this post for details.

Note: All images of the kikki.K Hong Kong Times Square store are courtesy of kikki.K. Images from the event are by me.

I’ve been a fan of kikki.K for a while now, since I first discovered this beautiful stationery brand back in Singapore, before they launched in Hong Kong. I was extremely excited when they launched in Hong Kong earlier this year (in Tsim Sha Tsui) and posted about it on my instagram, so you can imagine how happy I was when I heard the news that 1. there was going to be a store number two, 2. it was going to be in Causeway Bay and 3. I was invited to the launch event.

I’m so excited that kikki.K has launched in Hong Kong! ????????

I mean, c’mon! I’m that girl who’s always been writing in notebooks and diaries and still continue to plan my life with my yearly planner. I’ve always loved stationery and will continue to do so, and well, if you’ve been inside a kikki.K store and love stationery too, I know you know what I’m talking about when I say they make the prettiest ones. :)

To fill you in a little if this is the first time you’re hearing of kikki.K, it’s a brand that sells personal and office stationery, gifts and various lifestyle items featuring Swedish designs. For all of us in Hong Kong, we get two physical stores *Update May 2016: FOUR physical stores to shop in (full details at the end of this post), but online shopping is available on their website too.

Anyway, back to the event! Apart from the main draw that was all the stationery, there were even these adorable little Swedish sweet treats. Yum. :) Even better than the sweet treats and checking out the new store though, was getting a chance to hear from the founder of kikki.K herself, Kristina Karlsson! She shared about her inspirations and ideas, the background story of how kikki.K started and also introduced us to some new products and collections.

It was pretty awesome getting a chance to meet Kristina, and her son was at the event helpfully and playfully showcasing and choosing products too. :)

Speaking of products, my favourite from kikki.K has to be the yearly diaries but at the event, I fell for the orange/pink set of the new “Be Brave” collection too! Not to mention the wall calendar I’m eyeing that would be perfect for my work desk. Okay, I shall stop here now.

Here are all the store and web details for kikki.K Hong Kong, I hope you guys will enjoy checking out the stores as much as I did!
