Gardens by the Bay is a tourist attraction, but I enjoy popping by every once in a while anyway, since it’s always prettily filled with flowers and plants in cooling temperatures, which is always a treat. :) The tickets are quite pricey, so I don’t visit regularly, but prefer to pick certain special displays or events that I want to check out!
Last year, I went to the sakura (cherry blossom) floral display, which GBTB seems to bring in every year now in the March/April season, and while lovely, was also extremely crowded! This year, I was thinking of possibly checking out the Christmas poinsettia display, but went to GBTB’s recent rhododendron floral display instead, because this is the first time rhododendrons are being featured, and I love how pretty they look in their different coloured bunches! :)
I never got round to posting the sakura pictures I snapped last year, so wanted to share my favourite snapshots from this year’s Gardens by the Bay visit!
(Note: The floral display at Gardens by the Bay are found in the Flower Dome section, which requires a paid ticket for entry. For reference, I paid S$10.80 for my local resident adult ticket. The displays changes year round.)
Talking about visiting Gardens by the Bay, there’s something I do every time I pop by and I notice many other ladies do as well, which is wearing an outfit with something floral on it! :) I’ve worn different pieces each time, which speaks for how much I like to have flowers in my Singapore summer pieces! I think it’s awesome that us ladies do this, and I love admiring everyone’s flowery outfits for the day, which is an extra fun element in addition to already being surrounded by flowers! 🌸

Hi Kylene! When I visited Singapore, back in 2012, this attraction from Gardens by the Bay is not yet around. On the succeeding years, I’ve seen friends and bloggers posted photos of the different themes whenever there is an exhibit. The one I can fondly remember was inspired by the Dutch community, where they have lots of tulips and windmills. It has become an attraction to both locals and tourists. I’m always amazed and if I remember it right, there was another blogger, who showcased another angle or side of the Marina Bay Sands, after visiting the flower exhibit.
I’ve always been fascinated and I hope soon enough, I’ll be able to visit again.

Hi Diane and happy new year’s eve! :) Gardens by the Bay has become such a popular destination and I definitely think it’s worth a visit the next time you visit Singapore! It’s one of my favourite places in the city.
I remember the tulips/Dutch themed display you mentioned from a few years back, it looked so amazing in photos and I wished I went, but I missed it.. oh well.
Hope that you will come visit this sunny city soon! :)
