🗨️ Sorry I'm Late, I Didn't Want to Come by Jessica Pan 💭 … I've been a fan of Jessica Pan since her first book, Graduates in Wonderland (co-authored with Rachel Kapelke-Dale). I read that book when I graduated university, so it seems very fitting that I just finished this book, right when I'm about to start a new job very soon (ahh the nerves)! . In a nutshell, this book is about Jess, who is a "shy introvert" trying various activities and challenging herself to extrovert for a year, and documents her entire experience. I loved reading about her year and the people she meets and mentors she talks to – it's very funny, the writing feels like listening to a relatable friend and I found the taking on of these adventures incredibly brave. I mean, it really does take something to get out of our comfort zones! . Really enjoyed this book and will recommend it for both introverts or extroverts! 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Today marks my 5th year anniversary of moving back Today marks my 5th year anniversary of moving back to Singapore! 💫 26 June 2017, I said goodbye to Hong Kong and still to this day, miss aspects of my life there. But Singapore has been great for me and is home now. 😊

5 years back in SG has let me start another new chapter and offered me plenty of new experiences and challenges. I've been through successes, failures and standstills. It hasn't been easy, that's for sure, but I'm happy to share that at this 5 year mark, I'm finally in a contented, balanced and happy place. 😊 It definitely took work, trial and error and heaps of God's blessings, but I'm here. 🌻

HK, you're always a special place to me, so hopefully, I'll get to see you again soon. 💖
🍀 February 2022 🌻 *Feb was such a full month 🍀 February 2022 🌻
*Feb was such a full month! It was also a month that marked the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. 😊 Some of my favourite moments:
- Lovely drawings at @natmuseum_sg and wanting to buy so many of the related merch from the museum shop (I didn't!)
- Lovely lunches/dinners + great people & conversations. Incredibly grateful for the people in my life. 🌟
- The cutest exhibition featuring @angkukuehgirl
- Visiting a very nostalgic restaurant @oldschooldelights - brings back all my childhood memories!
- Pink skies 💗
- Attended a tour of the 'Mapping the World' exhibition at @nlb.singapore - fascinating and insightful!

Other moments that couldn't fit in here: my first VR experience at the ArtScience Museum, shopping and gifts and more new books! 😄 Ending the month with a thankful heart.
💫 January 2022 💫 - Welcoming a new year from 💫 January 2022 💫
- Welcoming a new year from up high on the OCBC Skyway at Gardens by the Bay
- Beautiful photography at @acm_sg by Russel Wong, Chua Mia Tee exhibition at @nationalgallerysingapore
- Visiting bookstore-cafe @huggsepigram and picking up a new book
- Lunches & dinners
- Visiting @theartshouse and getting the chamber room all to ourselves!

Saying farewell and saying hello to new chapters.☘
Let's go, 2022. ☘ Let's go, 2022. ☘
2021 has been a roller coaster ride - up and down, 2021 has been a roller coaster ride - up and down, down and up and upside down. 🎢 The year zoomed past - I feel like I got on the ride, excited and expectant and then realised I got on the craziest roller coaster there is. I haven't really gotten the chance to catch my breath or pause and have a moment to reflect.

Overall, it's been a good year (and it's such a blessing to say this in yet another challenging year) but I would very much like to be able to take a break and slow down sometimes.

With all its craziness, 2021 has also taken me by surprise, in some major and wonderful ways. I'm incredibly thankful for it all and want to look forward to 2022 with faith and hope.

As this roller coaster ride comes to an end soon, I'm getting ready to get off, steady myself and hopefully the next ride is more a carousel instead? 🎠 See you soon, 2022. 🌠
It's been a long and tiring year, 2021. I recognis It's been a long and tiring year, 2021. I recognise my own privilege, and I'm always thankful for good health, steady work and kindness from people around me. But I'll readily say 2021 has been a tough chapter.

I've felt stressed and overwhelmed a lot this year. I try my best and give it my all, and everyone tells me I need to take a breath, hand the burden to the Lord and let it go. True and good advice. 😄

Today is a public holiday in SG and I'm on full holiday mode. I've been indoors so much I feel like I'm rediscovering my city girl life again. 😂 I got up at noon and spent the day with @wording_art at one of our favourite spots in the city: Gardens by the Bay. 🌳 We ate, laughed and took a walk in the sunshine and breeze. Then we took pictures of ourselves and our shadows, because we started doing this when we used to live in Hong Kong. We think back fondly on our HK days and talk about going back when it's safe to travel again.

Should definitely take a break more often. 🌞
