With Christmas just wrapping up in December, it’s now time for the next festive season: Chinese New Year! In Hong Kong, this is the biggest event of the year and after spending a couple of Chinese New Years here, I’m still amazed to witness the entire bustling city slow down and take a break.
Hong Kong is incredible in its boundless energy and speed, so it’s quite fascinating to me when plenty of shops close and everyone takes a break from work, school and life in general and the festive spirit is just everywhere.
Before I continue with this post, I wanted to wish everyone who celebrates this season a happy Chinese New Year! May the year of the Rooster bring you much happiness, good health and prosperity! :) 新年快樂!祝大家身體健康,心想事成,笑口常開!:)
I’ve captured some fun snapshots of Chinese New Year decorations in Hong Kong and I really liked them, so I wanted to share! Hope you enjoy. :)
One of my personal favourites because of the graduation scroll! (I’m graduating later this year!)
Here’s a board of well wishes and personal hopes for the new year I spotted in Eslite bookstore!
Really liked this one!
